Morning Meditations, 8.24.15

"Everyone is 'extremely emotional.' As in, 'you're a human being, nature's most highly evolved creation, and therefore subject to thoughts, and feelings, in this world that it may be your instinct, (probably for fear or survival-based reasons) to suppress or not talk about or hide.' You are extremely emotional- even if you show no emotion at all. You are extremely emotional- even if you are meditative and calm; and you are extremely emotional, even if you are angry, disengaged, or unable to express your feelings. If you believe what the world tells you about the expressive capacity- and differences- between men and women, you automatically create and unbridgeable divide between who you love and yourself. If you can learn to see that the most ultimate desire of every human being- all subject to thoughts and feelings in this world that it may be their instinct (probably for fear or survival-based reasons) to suppress or not talk about or hide- is to be seen, known, and loved anyway, you have touched what it means to love others exactly as God has loved you."
