Around this time of year (Halloween-ish and after counts as "the holidays," right?), a sort of creative nostalgia hits me that seems to seep into everything I draw and create. Perhaps it's memories of snowy Midwestern Christmases or the anticipation of warm and cozy firesides, but every year at about this time I seem to get in touch with a particularly whimsical, nostalgically-driven style.
Right now I'm really loving the above: a short and fat (but generously-sized) mug just perfect for hot chocolate- and illustrated by hand with some cheerful little houses. I've already made some creations on this mug style, and they're turning out quite nicely! More to come.
